I wouldn't say that I was a particularly adventurous person when it comes to my clothing, but I do like to mix it up a little bit at times. Today the weather was pretty mild, the sun was out but my god it was cold. So I thought it was about time I got out some of my more 'colourful' items of clothing. Through the winter I find myself in the same colours all the time, black, maroon, khaki and grey. I tend to wear my Primark Black Leggings a lot in the colder months, if it's really chilly then I put a pair of tights underneath for an extra layer. The long bandeau top I fished out was a sale item from New Look last Summer. I love the Aztec pattern, and the fact it's neutral colours made it even more appealing to me, I feel like I can pair it with any different colours to tie in a look. I find that the black belt included with it helps to give you a nice silhouette, it clinches in at the waist and helps accentuate my hourglass shape, I really love the straight neckline as well, something about it just makes me happy. Today I decided to put it together with my rusty pink and orange toned cardigan, I picked it up in the winter New Look sale last year, I love the sales there, they give really good reductions and they include quite recent stock. For shoes I used just some plan black flats from Primark, nothing special, just practical and they go with any outfit. I find that if I wear colour on my top then I go all black for my bottoms, and vice versa.
For jewellery I wore some thin crosses that I picked up from Primark before Christmas in their sale, my piercing earring for my cartilage piercing, and my engagement and eternity rings. To add a bit more sparkle I wore my really cute Christmas necklace from my Mom. I'm really getting into statement necklaces these days, and this one has a mesh strap with a gold plated diamante covered center, it's a really lovely piece and I love wearing it with casual clothes to make it a bit more interesting.
I'm still trying to figure out the best way to take pictures of my outfits, so if you have any ideas or tips then let me know, but until next time...
