Lunch Time Beauty Buys
There comes that day where I'll be sitting at work, the sun'll be shining through the tenth floor windows, and everyone's just in a better mood. I don't know about you, but when the sun comes out, I get that spendy feeling.
Then when it came to my attention that Boots had another 3 for 2 mix and match, I was first out the door for lunch.
Needless to say I spent my whole lunch hour browsing the beauty aisles, I restricted myself to just 3 things. I mean, it was only lunch time, an hour is no where near long enough to go full on spending spree. I did come out with 3 things I've been wanting for a while.
As always Anna is my primary enabler, and two of the three products I ended up walking out with had been mentioned by her. First up was a foundation, the L'oreal True Match Foundation, I picked up the shade N1. My foundation of choice, Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum, had run dry so I was baseless for a few days (let the squeals of horror ensue). I've looked at the True Match stand before, and found myself not being able to find my true match, N1 never seemed to have a tester tube, but on this day, it did, hurray! N1 is pretty much a perfect match for me, I have a feeling in the Summer months, with a little more colour to my skin (hopefully) I might need to mix it with another shade but I can't wait to try it out and see if once again, Anna's got it spot on.
The second little pot to find its way in to my 3 for 2 basket was the Rimmel Salon Pro in Oh, Mr Darcy. Anna again has raved about this nail varnish, and even called it a possible dupe for Chanel Frenzy, so I had to give it a go! In the bottle it looks like a really lovely beige/grey/lilac, a very neutral shade. The brush looks lovely and wide, with the tapered end for easy application, tomorrow is nail change day, and I think this is first in the queue.
Lastly was a repurchase, the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl Eye Liners are some of my favourites, really soft, long wearing but they're also bendable, really useful when trying to attempt a smoky eye. The shade Nude is my favourite for trying to waken up my eyes in the morning when they're all red and still half asleep. I tend to have very watery eyes, so this does need a re-application throughout the day, but it really does the job. When you're stuck for a number 3 for your 3 for 2 basket, I'd recommend giving these a look.
What would your lunch time beauty buys be? You've only got an hour...

So difficult when you only have an hour; so many choices, so little time and all that!
ReplyDeleteI'd have to go for L'oreal's True Match Foundation after also hearing Anna speak so highly of it, another shade of Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipgloss as I love the shade I currently have (Kiss Me Coral), one of the new nail polish colours from Model's Own (I looove 'Beach Bag' after seeing Lily's blog post...gorgeous!) and Rimmel's Stay Matte Primer. I'm always keen to try new primers and after reading your review, I think it's next on my list! :) x
I bought Rimmels Oh Mr Darcy after reading this post recently and I absolutely love it. Thank you for being an enabler Lunnybunny!
