Beauty Wish List

Today I thought I'd do something a little different; ask you for some advice. I'm sure there's a lot of you out there (hopefully) who are a little like me. Mental lists of many different categories running around your head, with the 'beauty wish list' lurking somewhere, right at the back, behind work, birthdays, appointments and other every day related things. I'm taking a stand against my mental capacity and bringing that list to the forefront of my mind (if only for this post).

I've had quite a few things sitting on my wish list for a while, and after scouring blogs and videos relating to them, I still find myself sitting precariously on the edge of a decision. So if you have any first hand opinions on the items I'm about to list, then let me know.

Number one on the list is the Lily Lolo Mineral Starter Collection in Light. I've been pondering a mineral foundation since having a really nice shade match experience at a Bare Minerals counter. I completely underestimated the coverage of mineral powders, and saw them as a 'finishing' powder. I came across Lily Lolo just scouring the internet for mineral make up brands, and I've been considering a purchase ever since. I'm still on the fence when it comes to a purchase, I'm not 100% confident making a shade choice blind (or in normal terms, over the internet). The good news is Lily Lolo offer sample size offerings for a small price, and also have starter kits such as the one above. Lily Lolo have made a decision for me on this one, because the kit is out of stock at the moment (too much hesitation definitely). I'm still unsure whether mineral make up would be a good choice for me, I have oily/combination skin with a few dry patches, and I'm worried it might take too long to apply in the mornings. Any thoughts?

Sticking on the base front (you might start sensing a theme to this post), I've been umm-ing and ahh-ing so to speak, around BB creams and tinted moisturisers. I have pretty pale skin, and all of the BB creams and tinted moisturisers I've tried have been way too dark for me. The Sleek Blemish Balm in Fair seems to pop up on a few blogs as being a good BB choice for the pale skinned gals out there. At £8.99 it might be worth a go, but I'm still a little hesitant. When it comes to bases, I'm one to stick with what I know, but with Summer hopefully making an appearance soon, I'm wanting to find a more sheer coverage base as opposed to the full coverage offerings I'm used too. My next item is a higher end alternative to this...

The Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint is another lighter coverage base that seems to have been popping up on blogs I've been scouring in search of a sheer coverage base for the pale skinned. Bare seems to be the most recommended shade, but at £21.00 this seems to be a bigger risk to take compared to the Sleek offering.  I'm not sure whether this would be a 'you get what you pay for' situation, so any experience with any of these products would be welcomed. I've never used any Liz Earle products before, and I know there was a lot of hype around the Hot Cloth Cleanser way back when, but I've never really seen much going round regarding their make up offerings, which makes me even more hesitant to take the plunge and invest (especially when NARS Sheer Glow is sat in third place).

Ok, there's definitely a theme to this list, I'd never even noticed before I started writing it down. MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, need I say more? I want a high coverage concealer for my big bad under eye baggies. A few cons, it takes for-ev-er to get shade matched at MAC (ain't nobody got time for that), it's a bloomin' lot of money to pay for such a little tube, and lastly, I have a feeling if I was to go out and tick of the previous two tasks, get shade matched and part with my hard earned cash, I'm guessing, sods law would be my all time favourite under eye concealer (NARS Creamy Concealer in Vanilla FYI) would miraculously become back in stock after months of waiting. I've seen mixed reviews around this concealer in the blogging and video world, some saying it's not good for under eyes, some saying it's the best thing they've ever found. Are you one of them?

And last but not least, something that's not directly beauty related, but something that'll get me a little fitter (y'know, if you're good on the inside you're good on the outside and all that good stuff), Nike Free's. I own a pretty cheap old pair of trainers I picked up on a whim when I decided I was going to start running, but they were so uncomfortable and did me way more harm than good I stopped running. I tried on a pair of Nike Free's on my lunch break and now I dream of the day I can wear a pair every day, and I mean every day! They were ridiculously comfortable, even for the 3 or 4 minutes I was strutting my stuff down the sports shop 'catwalk' (c'mon, I can't be the only person who makes that connection?). As always, there's a setback, at £85.00 a pop they cost more than the other 4 items in this post put together, but I can't help thinking they'd be worth it? Anyone out there with an opinion on that?

So, that's my main wish list items right now, I mean there's hundreds more, but one (or five) things at a time yeah?

Let me know what you know...

Have you got anything on your wish list?
