So, to the review. Yesterday I popped into Primark for some well earned retail therapy, I exited with only one top, some socks and a lip crayon (a rarity for me to leave with one of the small bags).
I've been on the lookout for more crayon lip colours since I purchased my Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain (jumping a little late on the bandwagon). I was a little sceptic of the Primarks efforts; it swatched lovely in store and the colour payoff looked great, but I know store lighting can be deceiving.
As soon as I got home I got in front of the mirror and gave it a test run. The packaging merely says 'Moisturising Lip Gloss Crayon', nothing else. No true product name and no colour name either, not even a number. There were quite a few colours to choose from, but I went with a bright pink, it looked like such a spring colour.
After trying it on my lips my first impressions were good. The colour payoff was brilliant and the formula proved very moisturising, it didn't dry at all and gave a glossy finish. After using it for the rest of the day I would maybe go as far as saying I prefer it to my Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain. As far as I can tell the Primark Lip Crayon hasn't stained my lips at all, which I would say was one of my major dislikes about the Revlon counterparts.
The only thing I would say is that the product does need topping up on the lips every few hours or so, but for £1.50 is that such a bad thing?
I'm hoping to pick up a few more colours and maybe compare them to the new MUA Lip Crayons when I manage to get my hands on one.
Have you tried the new Primark Moisturising Lip Gloss Crayon? What did you think? Until next time...
