MAC Paint Pot in Vintage Selection Review

I'm still feeling stupidly ill, so I've been confined away from the keyboard for almost a week, horrific is one word to describe it. So to cheer myself up I treated myself.

I've been looking at MAC Paint Pots for a while now, I thought that to maybe lengthen the period of time my shadows stay on I could use a Paint Pot as a primer. I had my eye on Painterly, simple and skin toned, a perfect priming base, I'd read review after review, I did my research, I'm not parting with almost £15 for nothing. Alas, when it came to ordering my new best friend, it was unavailable, typical! I was determined to put a smile on my face, so I had a quick browse of the other shades and ended up picking Vintage Selection.

It's described as a 'frosted dirty peach', I like peach, so why wouldn't I like this?

The pot itself was a lot bigger than I imagined it to be, one point to the paint pot. After opening the lid I almost didn't want to touch it, I love the look of untouched brand new make up, so clean!

In the pot the product looks a lot darker than I imagined, more of a bronzed peach than a dirty peach. I have been going through a bronze eye colour addiction at the minute, so this wasn't a problem.

After swirling my finger over the product (much to the distaste of my OCD inner self) it looked quite golden and metallic on the finger, I do wish it would make its mind up.

In the end, on my hand, it looks like a 'frosted dirty peach', hoorah! It has tiny glitter particles throughout, which doesn't bother me at all. After wearing it throughout the day I did find a little fall down from the glitter, but the colour did last all day, and took a little work to remove.

All in all, I think I'll be delving into the Paint Pot pool a little deeper, a fabulous all over colour, and I still think Painterly will be my next stop. I'm thinking I might try Vintage Selection with a little All That Glitters, a match made in heaven? We'll see.

What Paint Pots have you tried out? Any recommendation? Until next time...
